Basically, you have an unlimited field length for Questions and answers. The problem is: it looks horrible in most cases. Yes, we applaud the nuance that many consultants want to bring to an assessment, but more answers (than 3) and long texts (especially with jargon) usually do much more harm than one realizes. Then, how can you clean up your screens so that the output is beautiful?
Use the information ("i") icon
You can relegate examples or additional information regarding the question behind the "i"-icon.
Go to "MY QUESTIONNAIRES" > "EDIT THIS QUESTIONNAIRE" and open the Questionnaire structure (left part of the page) until you select an individual question. Add the auxiliary information in the "Context"-field. Note that this information will also appear in the Praiority list table (Group Virtual Consultant) and -screen (Personal Virtual Consultant). The mobile example below shows how clicking on the "i"-icon shows the additional information screen. In a desktop environment, the "i"-icons work as a mouse-over.
Add a context field on the top of the page
Some additional information may belong to a group of questions (a Sub-Topic) rather than a single Question. Hence, it's possible to add some explanatory notes on top of a page. Remember that (when viewed on a desktop) a page of Questions is dedicated to one single Sub-Topic. Therefore, ensure that the information on top of the page is relevant to all questions on that page. Go to "MY QUESTIONNAIRES" > "EDIT THIS QUESTIONNAIRE" and open the questionnaire structure (left part of the page) until you select an individual Sub-Topic. Add your text to the "Introduction text"-textbox. Alternatively, you can add a visual on top of the page to brighten up the page:
Just keep your language short!
It's often as simple as that. Do you really need all these words? Can't the sentence not be shorter? Do you really have to give many examples to describe what you mean? Just keep it short. Productize!
