To support the smart analysis of your (client's) business problem and the subsequent target setting on improving that business issue, it's very wise to know who your respondents are. After all, you want to give individual, personalized advice to every respondent. And you would like to segment your respondents so that you can give advice to every respondent group as well. The "Define respondents"-section is where you add the required settings to do so. Let's focus on the individual respondents first. Click on the Audience navigation bar:
Getting to know your respondents
Basic respondent information includes someone's first name, last name, and email address. Separating first and last names supports personalized communication like "Dear Ben, here is your Personal Virtual Consultant." instead of "Dear Ben Johnson, here is your Personal Virtual Consultant." which absolutely does NOT sound personalized. You can indicate whether these three respondent fields are present (default: yes) and whether they are mandatory for a respondent to answer (default: no).
Decide on a language early on
An Audience contains a lot of texts. Like these three questions, other respondent questions, and introduction texts later on. That's why PRAIORITIZE asks you for a language choice immediately when you start to define your Audience. Let's assume you contemplate addressing your Audience in Dutch. Click on the "SET LANGUAGE FOR THE VIRTUAL CONSULTANTS"-dropdown and choose DUTCH. A pop-up appears:
If you select "CHANGE," PRAIORITIZE will convert all default text settings in this Audience to Dutch:
Add other questions to the respondents
You decide to continue in English. There is more to ask a respondent than name and email:
- You can ask for a social media field (e.g., LinkedIn or a reference to your organization's online employee handbook). You can enter a caption, a keyword (later appearing on some of the Virtual Consultants' pages), and the URL to that location.
- You have to ask the respondent's permission (opt-in) to share knowledge about the questions in the assessment.
- Offer the respondent a comment textbox at the end of the assessment. Entering a caption to that textbox automatically activates this comment box.
- Add additional questions by clicking on the 'PLUS'-icon, delete them with the 'MINUS'-icon, use the arrows to change the sequence of these additional questions, and use the 'PEN'-icon to edit the question. These questions can be either multiple-choice or an open text field:
